What are the differences between H, HB, B and 2B hardness?
Hardness levels are as follows:
- B: Means “Black” and has a soft graphite content. This pen is generally used for doodling.
- 2B: This pencil also has a soft graphite content and produces a slightly darker line than B.
- HB: Means “Hard-Black” and has a medium hard graphite content. This pen is generally used for normal writing.
- H: This pencil has a harder graphite content and produces a paler line.
- In general, B pencils produce soft lines, while H pencils produce harder lines.
- Less debris on paper from writing. Suitable for all 0.7 mm mechanical pencils. Available in hardnesses B, 2B, HB, and H. Contains 40 tips per tube. Made from 92% recycled material based on the total weight of the product, excluding filling tips.
