What are the differences between B, 2B, 3B, 4B, HB, H and 2H hardness?
Hardness levels are as follows:
- B: Means “Black” and has a soft graphite content. This pen is generally used for doodling.
- 2B: This pencil also has a soft graphite content and produces a slightly darker line than B.
- 3B: This pencil has a softer graphite content and produces a darker line.
- 4B: This pencil has an even softer graphite content and produces a very dark line.
- HB: Means “Hard-Black” and has a medium hard graphite content. This pen is generally used for normal writing.
- H: This pencil has a harder graphite content and produces a paler line.
- 2H: This pencil also has a harder graphite content and produces a paler line.
- In general, B pencils produce soft lines, while H pencils produce harder lines.
- Made from 92% recycled material based on the total weight of the product, excluding filling tips.
- Suitable for all 0.5 mm mechanical pencils. Hardnesses : B, 2B, 3B, 4B, HB, H and 2H. Contains 40 tips per tube.
